Gabriella Cilmi to Release Double A-Side August 22nd, Unveils New Single Artwork

Gabriella Cilmi has unveiled the single artwork for her third single off of Ten, "Defender," a ballad written by Cilmi, George Astasio and Jason Pebworth, and produced by The Invisible Men. The single, a double A side, also features a new song - "Magic Carpet Ride," included on the official soundtrack for the film Soul Boy, "a coming-of-age drama set in the 1970s Northern Soul underground music scene."

Soul Boy is out in UK cinemas August 21st, followed by the single's release on August 22nd and the film's soundtrack on August 23rd. Listen to "Defender" below. Not my FAVORITE song from Ten...kind of sounds like an American Idol/X-Factor-style sappy single. Definitely looking forward to hearing "Magic Carpet Ride."
