And just when I thought Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine couldn't get any hotter, he goes ahead and gets all sweaty and sooty in his new music video. In the Samuel Bayer (Justin Timberlake, Green Day)-directed video for Maroon 5's latest single, "Payphone," released last Thursday, Levine plays a lowly bank worker in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Playing the part of a geeky banker mad crushing on a beautiful female co-worker (played by Dutch model Bregje Heinen), Levine flexes his acting muscles, obviously in preparation for his upcoming role on Ryan Murphy's supernatural drama, American Horror Story.  When his bank gets busted into by a gang of of masked criminals, Levine and his lady friend escape unharmed, only to have the confused police force outside, mistake the gruesome twosome for the bank robbers.  Rather than throw his hands up and explain himself, Levine leads the cops on a manhunt ending with a firey explosion, and...Adam Levine at a payphone.

"Payphone" debuted at #1 on the Digital Songs chart when it was released on April 16th, with 493,000 downloads recorded, beating the Black Eyed Peas' previous record for first week digital sales by a group.  It's the first single taken from Maroon 5's upcoming fourth studio album, Overexposed, due out June 26th on A&M/Octone Records.  Available now in the U.S. (iTunes US), "Payphone" was produced by Shellback and Benny Blanco.  It's scheduled for release in the UK June 17th (iTunes UK).
