[Hot Video Alert] Rich B feat. Marcella Puppini - Revolution

I'm not quite sure HOW exactly I missed this one. Having been OBSESSED with close harmony vocal trio The Puppini Sisters since the release of sensational 2006 debut album, Betcha Bottom Dollar, I've been secretly hoping the band would either get one of their vintage vocal pop numbers remixed for the clubs or veer off into some sort of dance-oriented side project.  Unbeknownst to me, Marcella Puppini, founder of the group did the latter, collaborating with DJ/producer/remixer Rich B on a house track called "Revolution."

What's even WORSE is that "Revolution" isn't even a new track.  In fact, it came out back in 2002, featuring a then unknown Marcella Puppini.  Now, nearly TEN YEARS later, Rich B has re-released the single with a whole slew of new remixes from the likes of Pagano, Nik Denton, and 7th Heaven.  While the standard remix EP is available to download right now (iTunes UK/iTunes US), you can snag an extended remix EP with additional mixes starting on June 8th (iTunes UK/iTunes US).

According to Rich B in a recent interview with QX Magazine, he first met Marcella Puppini 12 years ago when she was a waitress in a cocktail bar (a la Human League).  In addition to the single's recent re-release, Marcella and Rich have paired up for another single, "What Have You Done To Your Face?", the vocal harmonies on which Rich promises will impress. The new single is essentially a DANCE remix of an original performed by Marcella's "indie-art-punk-Weimar inspired" side project Marcella and The Forget Me Nots. Can't wait to hear this in full! While Rich B did in fact found his own label, Enriched Records, "Revolution 2012" was released via Toolbox Records/Toolbox House, celebrated with a massive launch party at The Royal Vauxhall Tavern in South London.
