[Hot Video Alert] Shakira - Addicted To You


Shakira Addicted To You

While the world eagerly awaits Colombian hip-shaker Shakira's highly anticipated eighth studio album, we have one final single off her last album, Sale el Sol, to enjoy.  "Addicted To You" is the fifth and final single taken from Shakira's third bilingual album, released all the way back in October 2010.  Released as a single on March 13th, the song was written and produced by Shakira alongside Luis Fernando Ochoa, El Cata and John Hill.


"Addicted To You" is crossover Latin pop at it's most commercial, but still with that classic Shakira Shakira that we've all grown to love.  A bit heavy on the vocal effects at times, Shakira serves up sass with class in this light and summery tune.  While it's going to be hard to EVER top "Hips Don't Lie," Shakira does her thing here and sounds absolutely flawless doing it.  "Addicted To You" peaked at #8 in Mexico and at #13 on Billboard's Latin Pop Songs chart.  The Anthony Mandler (Rihanna - "Only Girl (In The World)"; Cheryl - "Call My Name") directed clip was filmed on a stunning ranch in Valencia, California and features a short blond-haired Shakira serving up sex in a bathtub, inside a candle lit boudoir, and outside a lovely turquoise stucco, flower laden building. GORGEOUS.

Shakira is currently hard at work on her as-yet-untitled eighth studio album, due out later this year via RocNation.  While Shakira has taken meetings with a number hit makers including Benny Blanco, DJ Tïesto, RedOne, Max Martin and Dr. Luke, your guess is as good as mine as to which collaborations will come feature on the final project.  As of right now we know that Shakira has gone into the studio with RedOne, LMFAO, Akon as well as Fernando Garibay, singer/songwriter Sia and The Runners.  She's also Tweeted about hanging with singer/songwriter Ester Dean and she's featured on an upcoming Pitbull single called "Get It Started."
