[Hot Video Alert] Shakira - Addicted To You

Shakira Addicted To You

While the world eagerly awaits Colombian hip-shaker Shakira's highly anticipated eighth studio album, we have one final single off her last album, Sale el Sol, to enjoy.  "Addicted To You" is the fifth and final single taken from Shakira's third bilingual album, released all the way back in October 2010.  Released as a single on March 13th, the song was written and produced by Shakira alongside Luis Fernando Ochoa, El Cata and John Hill.

Hot Video Alert: Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull - Dance Again

Jennifer Lopez Dance Again

Clearly still riding high off of the success of their last collaboration, "On The Floor," Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and mega hitmaker RedOne are back together on Lopez' next smash dance/pop single, "Dance Again."  Released April 2nd through Lopez's label Epic Records, "Dance Again" was co-penned by RedOne, AJ Junior, The Chef, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull.  The song debuted on Billboard's Pop Songs chart at #34, followed by a #27 debut on the Hot 100 shortly after the release of the music video on American Idol. Not bad JLo. Not bad.

Hot Video Alert: Shakira feat. Pitbull - Rabiosa

"Rabiosa" (AKA Rabid in Spanish) might be one of my favorite songs off of 34-year old Colombian pop superstar Shakira's latest album, Sale el Sol.  This fiery number has been described as "giddy, rapid-fire Latin pop" and a "meringue-rock hybrid," both of which describe this song perfectly {SOURCE 1, 2}.  Produced by Shakira, El Cata and Pitbull, "Rabiosa" is the third single taken from Shakira's 7th studio album, Sale El Sol, and the follow up to the album's title track which came out last January on Epic/Sony Music Latin.  Released back in April, "Rabiosa" was released as two different versions, one featuring a guest rap from American rapper Pitbull and one featuring Dominican rapper/songwriter/producer El Cata.

Despite having been officially released only in April, "Rabiosa" actually debuted on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart at #25 based on downloads alone. Over on the Billboard Latin charts, the song fared much better, peaking at #23 on the Hot Latin Tracks chart and in the Top 20 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart.  The video for the song (which was just released) features Shakira looking fierce and fabulous both as a brunette (her natural color - although I'm pretty sure this is a wig) .  While the video doesn't feature Pitbull, the fact that he was involved on a Shakira track makes me happy.

I honestly don't know if it's those sexy Spanish chirps that Shakira does so well, or perhaps the way she works the stripper pole with her blond mane flowing.  Whatever it is, I love Shakira and "Rabiosa" is a hot Latin club track.  Pure and simple. Oh...this is definitely NOT SAFE FOR WORK.  Then again, you probably should have picked up on that as soon as there was talk of a stripper pole.  Check out the video for "Rabiosa" below and download either the Pitbull version (HERE) or the El Cata version (HERE) on iTunes.

Hot Video Alert: Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull - On The Floor

When you're in a pinch and need four minutes, twenty-seven seconds to make a decision about who stays and who goes on American Idol, I guess it helps that one of the judges just happens to have a new music video to unveil. Towards the end of tonight's results show, host Ryan Seacrest introduced the TAJ Stansberry (Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Taio Cruz)-directed video for Jennifer Lopez's new single, "On The Floor." Hot off the heels of more artistic and controversial fare from the likes of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, "On The Floor" doesn't really offer anything in the way of WOW factor. It's just another video with a pretty lady in a club, dancing sexily against a wall and whipping her hair back and forth. BORING!  Sure, J-Lo looks hotter than ever but the video is a total snore.

The song on the other hand is a grower, especially backed by an impressive remix package with mixes from CCW, Low Sunday, Ralphi Rosario, and Mixin' Marc & Tony Svejda.  Produced by RedOne and featuring rapper Pitbull, "On The Floor" is lifted off of Lopez' forthcoming 7th studio album, Love? due this Spring on Island/Def Jam.  The up-tempo club track debuted at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming her first Top Ten hit in 8 years (2003's "All I Have").  Elsewhere, the single did even better, peaking at #1 in Belgium and Finland and #2 on the Canadian Hot 100.  Download "On The Floor" on iTunes HERE and catch Jennifer Lopez on American Idol every week on Fox.

Hot Video Alert: Enrique Iglesias feat. Pitbull - I Like It

Oh Enrique. Did you really have to associate yourself with Jersey Shore? This is the video for the RedOne-produced new Enrique Iglesias single, "I Like It." It's not bad, but nothing ground-breakingly original. I do love me some Enrique remixes so hopefully whoever remixes this song turns it into a proper club stomper. The single samples Lionel Richie's "All Night Long (All Night)" and will be featured on the official soundtrack to MTV's reality show smash, Jersey Shore. Apaprently, Enrique will be performing the single live on the American Idol finale. I wonder if Pitbull will make an appearence as well?

Hot Video Alert: Alexandra Burke feat. Pitbull - All Night Long

LOVING this new Alexandra Burke video. The hand-held camera action might make some people a little ill, but it's a fun video for a fun song. LOVE this girl. Hope she releases this as the first single in the U.S.

New Album Artwork!

First things first...that Holly Valance artwork I blogged about last week? FAKE! I knew it was too good to be true. Holly took to her MySpace blog to address "comeback" rumors, saying "Why would anyone release something without promoting it and anyone hearing it first? It takes months of promotion and plugging to get radio onboard and people in the know about your music." She continues, "For those that wanna hear a new record, it will be done the right way. Like it was last time. You just might be waiting a while."

That being said, I'm a bit dissapointed but not surprised. The artwork reminds me of Jessica Simpson's artwork for "A Public Affair." I knew I would have heard something about a comeback single if it actually existed. Looks like she's taking her sweet time, so good for her. I hope she comes back strong. The girl deserves a music career for sure.

Anyway, here's some other cool other official artwork posted on Coverlandia.

Pitbull
I gotta say...I'm excited to hear the new Pitbull record. I have a bit of a crush on him to...he's HOT. I love that he's infusing hip hop and dance in his new music...first with "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and now with "Hotel Room Service." The album artwork appears to feature Pit's "Calle Ocho" video co-star Sagia, lookin' fierce as ever in camo body paint.

Honor Society
When I saw the trailer for the new movie BandSlam, I thought "oh no...another High School Musical clone...not to mention the fact that it stars HM alum, Vanessa Hudgens. This movie looks better. Plus, it stars Lisa Kudrow so there's an obvious plus! The boys of Honor Society are cute and talented and are featured on the soundtrack album (via Hollywood Records) for the movie. Check out their new single "Where Are You Now" from the BandSlam soundtrack and see them on tour this summer with the Jonas Brothers.

Cassie
Here's the single artwork for R&B singer Cassie's new jam featuring Akon. Looks like she's showing off the new haircut that's been photographed recently. It's an interesting look. Cassie is absolutely stunning so I think she'd pretty much look good bald. Looking forward to her new album.

Arctic Monkeys
I enjoy the Arctic Monkeys. I'm not the BIGGEST fan per say, but I have enjoyed the singles that I've heard, downloaded them on iTunes and the like. This album artwork was just too cool looking NOT to post about. I'm interested to hear what these guys have coming next.

My Weekly Last FM Chart

Second week doing this LAST FM chart report thing. Here goes nothing. By the way, it's nearly 6 AM. Why am I up? My sleep schedule is all out of whack this week...I fell asleep around 10:00 and woke up after midnight so I've been watching "Deadwood," and a really bad Nick Cage film. Anyway...here's the music chart for this past week. Check out last week's chart HERE.

Last FM Chart
Most Listened To Artists:

I've been listening to Kelly's new album a lot more recently. It really is a good album, despite what some people might be saying. Sure, it's more pop than her last album. Who cares. There are quality songs on there. Beyonce and Jordin...I honestly think Beyonce is showing up in my chart due to all of the remixes I have on my iPod. I haven't listened to Sasha Fierce in full since it came out. Jordin Sparks - same thing. I've been listening to her "One Step At A Time" remixes a lot, as well as the new "Battlefield" remixes. I can't wait for her new album, out in a couple of weeks. I'm also thrilled that her new single will be "S.O.S. (Let The Music Play), which samples Shannon's dance hit "Let The Music Play."

Most Listened To Songs:

2. VV Brown - Shark In The Water
3. Keisha White - Don't Mistake Me
5. Freemasons feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)

I don't know what it is about that Pitbull song, but I can't stop listening to it over and over again! VV Brown is someone I am drawn to as well, but for a completely different reason. I'm sad to report that her album has leaked in full, but I definitely implore you to go out and purchase it next week. I will be ordering mine from CDWOW. Keisha White is an artist whom I quiet enjoy. I think I first heard of the Brit before her song "Don't Mistake Me" made it onto an episode of Grey's Anatomy, but I don't remember. She also has a nice cover of Joan Armatrading's "The Weakness In Me" (which I first heard on the 10 Things I Hate About You soundtrack). The Steamweaver remix of Beyonce's new single is good, definitely go and download it if you haven't already. I love Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and this LIVE PERFORMANCE of her doing this song just reiterates how talented she is.
