Frankmusik Unveils 'Do It In The AM' Album Artwork, Announces Release Date

Frankmusik (AKA Vincent Frank) isn't wasting ANY time! Barely a day has passed since the release of his "Do It In The AM" video and already Frank is thinking about the album release.  Frank announced today via Facebook/Twitter that the album, Do It In The AM, will be released on September 26th in the UK and September 27th here in the States. As if that wasn't enough good news for one day, Frank also unveiled the artwork for the album. SEXY, no? LOVE IT!

The album features production by Frankmusik and Cherry Cherry Boom Boom (AKA Martin Kierszenbaum) and features both singles released to date ("The Fear Inside," "Do It In The AM") as well as new material not yet heard. In an interview with Free Wired, Frankmusik explained the new album and how it differs from his previous masterpiece, 2009's Complete Me.
"It’s a different record, I’ll give you the heads up....You’re looking at me in a completely different place now, internally and externally. I was in London and I didn’t know what I was doing. I was just starting out and there was a real rawness to that record. This new record has got a bit more finesse to it. It’s got a bit of an American twang to it, ‘cause fuck it; I’m in America. What do you expect? Complete Me had a bit of that London, kind of edgy, alternative feel to it. So I’ve tried to progress; I’ve finessed the songwriting, the songs are a lot more punchy. They’re a bit more concise. So when people are gonna say it isn’t me, “Frankmusik sold out,” I’ll just say “No, Frankmusik got more fucking concise,” and they can suck a dick."{SOURCE}

Hot Video Alert: Lykke Li - Sadness Is A Blessing

It's always nice to see Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård, and seeing him in Swedish singer/songwriter Lykke Li's new music video is an extra special surprise. "Sadness Is A Blessing" is the third single taken from Li's sophomore release, Wounded Rhymes. The album was produced by Björn Yttling and went on to become Li's highest charting album in the states, peaking at #36 on the Billboard 200 as well as #10 on the Billboard Rock Albums chart and #7 on the Alternative Albums chart. The album also did well in the UK, peaking at #37 on the UK Album Chart. The video for "Sadness Is a Blessing" was directed by Egyptian/Swedish TV producer, animator and film director Tarik Saleh, who also directed the visually stunning video for Lykke Li's last single, "I Follow Rivers." Li, who recently cancelled a string of UK dates due to a "meltdown" is set to perform a string of dates in the U.S. later this month. Check out the quirky video for "Sadness Is A Blessing" below as well as forthcoming tour dates. Snag Wounded Rhymes on iTunes HERE.

Hot Video Alert: Stevie Nicks - Secret Love

The undeniably talented and beautiful Stevie Nicks is back with a new single and a new album. Released this week, In Your Dreams is Nicks' seventh studio album and her first album in 10 years! Featuring production by David A. Stewart (Eurythmics), In Your Dreams' first single, "Secret Love" was released back in January and has since peaked at #21 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Singles chart and #25 on the Billboard Triple A Singles chart. The song was reportedly written in 1975 and recorded as a demo for Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album in 1977. While one could potentially see risks involved with releasing a 35 year old song in this day and age, they would also have to take into consideration that this is the iconic Stevie Nicks we're talking about. OF COURSE she's going to knock it out of the park. Check out the STUNNING video for "Secret Love" below and download In Your Dreams (Reprise) on iTunes HERE.

Bring On The Remixes: Dionne Bromfield & Matthew Morrison Get Dance Floor Makeovers

You all know I love a good remix and when it comes to pop remixes, the UK knows where it's at! 15 year old UK singer Dionne Bromfield is getting her club on with remixes for her new single, "Foolin'," lifted off her forthcoming sophomore album, Good For The Soul (Lioness/Island). Bromfield, who just so happens to be Amy Winehouse's God Daughter, released her debut album of Motown covers back in 2009 where it managed to peak at #33 on the UK Albums chart. Due out June 27th, Good For The Soul features new music (not covers), including first single "Yeah Right," featuring American rapper Diggy Simmons which was a Top 40 hit for Bromfield on the UK Singles Chart.

No stranger to remixes, Bromfield's debut single "Mama Said" was remixed by Vito Benito, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" got the Desert Eagles remix treatment, while "Yeah Right" saw remixes from SoundBwoy, Club Junkies, and Mario Basanov.   New single, "Foolin'" featuring Lil Twist takes things up a notch, getting re-fixed by the fabulous Seamus Haji (Dannii Minogue, Sugababes, Rihanna, Mariah Carey) and equally fantastic Bellatrax (Annie Lennox, CockNBullKid, Kylie Minogue, Tina Cousins, Sophia May). Check out the amazing Bellatrax remix BELOW. Bromfield's "Foolin'" is due out June 26th, the same date as her sophomore album so get ready!

Next up we have Glee actor and pop singer, Matthew Morrison. While I find his solo material to be super super cheesy, much like his Glee tunes, I was secretly hoping for some fabulous remixes for Morrison's debut UK single release, "Summer Rain." The single didn't really have much of an impact on the charts when it was released here in America back in March but it looks like they're trying for a club chart smash over across the pond. Remixed by Almighty, Morrison's sleepy, summery pop tune gets worked over for the dance clubs in a big way. Check out the radio edit below and tell me what you think. Morrison's debut self titled album is due out May 10th in America and May 29th in the UK. U.S. fans can download "Summer Rain" on iTunes HERE as well as his latest single, "Still Got Tonight" HERE.

Hot Video Alert: Frankmusik feat. Far East Movement - Do It In The AM

What a week this is turning out to be, eh music fans? Tuesday saw the release of Frankmusik's FABULOUS new single, "Do It In The AM," featuring Cherrytree labelmates Far East Movement, followed by the release of the super fun video on Wednesday. The video premiered on PopEater yesterday morning and has since been released to YouTube and VEVO. The video, while nothing groundbreaking in terms of concept, is still a fun ride nonetheless. A long walk in the desert with Far East Movement in tow, an extensive club sequence...the video is basically one massive party. According to Frankmusik (AKA Vincent Frank):
"The 'Do It In the AM' video was a treat to do. In 3 days we hit a pool party, a desert, a shady motel, a motorbike convention, and the Hollywood Hills, just to name a few! The concept is 'what the hell happened the night before?' A series of events seemingly related and unrelated hold the whole video together. Far East Movement tag along and act as my wing men on this frenzied night."
So it all makes sense! OK OK, the video is growing on me now, but let's be honest for a moment. The true highlight of the video is of course the song itself, which is freakin' AMAZING. Written and produced by Frank and co-produced by Martin Kierszenbaum (AKA Cherry Cherry Boom Boom) there are fabulous remixes from Jacob Plant, Les Loups and Frankmusik himself - check those out in my previous post. Don't forget you can download the single version on iTunes HERE so DOOO IT! Also check out my post on fellow Cherrytree recording artist Colette Carr and her fabulous new single "(We Do It) Primo," produced by Frankmusik.  Frankmusik has also been working with Joe Jonas on his forthcoming new electro pop album as well as another favorite up & comer Simon Curtis.  Lots of Frankmusik on the horizon and I'm LOVING it.  His album, Do It In The Am will be released this September (via Facebook).
