Hot Video Alert: Far East Movement feat. Frankmusik - Rocketeer (Live on Jimmy Kimmel Live)

In cased you missed it on January 10th, check out this live performance from Far East Movement featuring Frankmusik on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Frankmusik stepped into OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder's shoes for this live performance of "Rocketeer," Far East Movement's latest single. Frankmusik absolutely NAILS the chorus here, also playing the piano during the performance. "Rocketeer" recently moved up to the #17 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, a pretty good sign of things to come for the band, who's breakout single "Like A G6" peaked at the #1 spot (SOURCE). If you like the sounds of this live collaboration, wait until you hear the two Cherrytree Records acts on "Fighting For Air," off Far East Movement's debut album Free Wired. The two also got together for the title track off Frankmusik's forthcoming record.

While this performance officially counts as Frankmusik's U.S. television debut, it certainly won't be his last. Signed to Cherrytree Records (along with Far East Movement, Ellie Goulding and Natalia Kills) Frankmusik is getting ready to release his debut album, Do It In The AM, here in America sometime in 2011. First single, electro-pop masterpiece "The Fear Inside" is currently available to download on iTunes (HERE) as are the remixes (HERE). ITunes also has an exclusive download of Far East Movement featuring Frankmusik doing "Rocketeer" live at The Cherrytree House (HERE).  Check out the awesome performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live below.

Hot Video Alert: She & Him - Don't Look Back

You can't help but smile when you listen to Indie Folk duo She & Him. Maybe it's the summery, carefree style of of the music, maybe it's singer/actress Zooey Deschanel and her infectious, addictively sweet personality or maybe it's just M. Ward and all of his hipster sex appeal. Whatever it is, I love this duo and their new Jeremy Konner-directed video for "Don't Look Back" is an absolute treasure. Lifted off their second studio album, Volume 2 (P-Vine/Merge/Double Six Records), "Don't Look Back" is indie-pop at it's finest and the video is a classy affair. Starting out like a TV commercial from the 1950s, the video features Deschanel and Ward are showing off "modern" amenities such as a telephone, a TV and even a new dance style. The theme of the video becomes clear when the duo introduce us to the "music of tomorrow." While I'm not sure She & Him represents the music of the future by any stretch of the imagination, "Don't Look Back" is a fun, retro-romp and Deschanel is a pleasure to watch.

She & Him's album Volume 2 made an impressive #6 debut on the Billboard 200 chart when the album was released last March. Produced by Ward, the album has spawned 3 previous singles, most recently "I Put A Spell On You" and "Thieves" before that. None of the singles released have charted here in the States but first single, "In The Sun" did manage to chart in France at the #89 spot. Good stuff. Check out the super fun clip below.
