Clare Maguire Reveals Stunning 'Light After Dark' Artwork, Photographed by Aitken Jolly

My favorite IT girl import of the moment? HANDS DOWN - Clare Maguire. I can't get enough of this girl's voice, although if I get ONE MORE CHER COMPARISON I'm going to scream. Yes, there are similarities in tone but Clare Maguire has her own, unique vocal style.  She's a total original.  Maguire's second single, "The Last Dance," is set for release on February 20th, followed by the release of her debut album, Light After Dark (Polydor Records) on February 28th.  Check out the absolutely STUNNING Aitken Jolly artwork for her album, which is due out in America via Universal Republic later this year.

Maguire co-wrote the majority of the album herself with Fraser T. Smith, who also served as producer (Jennifer Hudson, James Morrison, Ellie Goulding) on the album. While Maguire was used to writing alone, she found something special in her collaboration with Smith, and most songs on the album took a single day to write. Laying down the perfect vocal in one go also seems to be something Maguire has mastered, as most of the vocals were recorded in the first take. Maguire draws inspiration from the Irish music that she grew up listening to and an eclectic mix of artists spanning different genres- everyone from Sinead O'Connor and Annie Lennox to Kate Bush and Johnnny Cash. Guess what people! I don't see Cher in that list.

Clare Maguire - The Last Dance (Danny Byrd Remix) by Radar Maker

Before we get to the tracklisting for the album, I wanted to share with you another fabulous remix of Maguire's new single, "The Last Dance," this one by Danny Byrd.  While not as CLUBBY as my personal fav by Kris Menace I quite like this one a lot.  Check out the Chase & Status mix as well as the Kris Menace mix over HERE.  Listen to Danny Byrd's mix ABOVE.  Maguire's currently in the midst of a European tour so check out a full list of the dates BELOW the cut.  Hoping for some more U.S. dates in addition to her appearance at the Coachella festival this April.

Dionne Bromfield Shows Off 'Yeah Right' Artwork, Gets Support from Godmother Amy Winehouse

@amyjademermaid: Didi you look stunning. I'm so proud, go on baby!
How's that for a vote of confidence? While I'm sure there's some bias there, considering Amy Winehouse is Dionne Bromfield's Godmother, she's right. Listening to her voice, it's really hard to believe that Bromfield is only 15 years old! I praised Bromfield's new single, "Yeah Right," as being AN ORIGINAL and I stand by that. Considering that Bromfield's entire debut was filled with covers, Bromfield had a lot resting on her young shoulders. She had to DELIVER a hit single and deliver she did. Due out March 6th on Lioness Records/Universal the single features Rev Run Simmons' son Diggy Simmons on the rap portion. Diggy's Pops even took to Twitter to show his support, saying "this girl can sing wow wow."

Check out the Emil Nava-directed video below and check out the fabulous artwork up top. "Yeah Right" is the first single off of Bromfield's forthcoming sophomore record, Good For The Soul, due out in the Spring.

Kylie Minogue Adds DJ/Remixer Kaskade to Hollywood Bowl Show

Kylie Minogue + Kaskade? YES PLEASE! Kylie Minogue announced this week that DJ/producer/remixer extraordinaire KASKADE will be joining her as a 'special guest' during Minogue's May 20th Hollywood Bowl appearance on her North American Aphrodite - Live 2011 World Tour. While KASKADE is only joining Minogue on this one date, I'm eagerly awaiting word on who'll be opening for her on the rest of the tour, if anybody at all. When I saw Kylie in Chicago a couple of years back, there was NO opener. None. Zero. I'd LOVE to see Kaskade spin though. We'll have to see!

While many artists in his genre have struggled to find their niche in the mainstream, Kaskade really has EXPLODED onto the scene. Kaskade's sixth studio album, Dynasty climbed all the way to #5 on the iTunes Charts - that's for ALL GENRES. Not just dance. Impressive feat! Dynasty comes hot off the heals of Kaskade's popular fifth album, Strobelight Seduction, which garnered four international hit singles and the Top Spot on the iTunes Dance Chart. Considering what a mega star Kylie Minogue is, especially in the club scene, it makes sense that she'd want an internationally renowned DJ joining her.

Kylie Minogue's North American tour begins April 28th in Montreal and closes May 22nd at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.  Check out a full list of the tour dates HERE. I will be in attendance at Kylie's April 29th Boston show and can HARDLY WAIT! Check out the video for "Get Outta My Way," Kylie's latest #1 hit on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart, produced by Cutfather, Peter Wallevik, Daniel Davidsen, Damon Sharpe, Lucas Secon and Stuart Price.

Adam Lambert Preps to Release New Live CD/DVD

If you haven't got the chance to see Adam Lambert on tour then do the next best thing...bring his tour home with you! Adam Lambert announced plans to release Glam Nation Live March 22nd on 19 Recordings/RCA Records. The CD/DVD includes concert footage of Lambert shot in Indianapolis at Clowes Hall on August 31st. Directed by Doug Spangenberg, the CD/DVD features 12 live tracks PLUS an encore performance. Lambert sings hits from his debut album, For Your Entertainment, (which peaked on the Billboard 200 at #3) as well as hits from his days on the American Idol stage. Given that I haven't seen Lambert live yet, this might be worth checking out.

Starting today, February 11th, Lambert will be premiering clips from the live CD/DVD on VEVO. Fans can also pre-order Glam Nation Live as well as an exclusive 'Glam Nation Tour Pack' on, where you can also find a more in depth look at last year's tour.

Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, went on to sell over 1 million copies worldwide AND he's the first American Idol alum to ever go on a world tour in support of a debut album. Lambert's biggest hit off the record, the Grammy-nominated "Whataya Want From Me," written by P!nk and Max Martin became Lambert's first #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100. The single also went on to top the Hot Singles Sales survey AND the Hot Dance Singles Sales chart. Impressive debut for a talented artist. Lots more to come from Lambert this year, INCLUDING a hot-sounding new remix of his power-ballad "Aftermath," with proceeds going to The Trevor Project, a national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.  Check out the album artwork for Glam Nation Live above and the tracklisting down below.
