The Noisettes Tease Upcoming Third Album, New Single, 'Winner' Released July 9th

Noisettes

This is the moment I've (and hopefully you've) been waiting for!  English indie rock darlings, the Noisettes have a new single coming out this summer!  It's been nearly three years since we've heard a peep of new music from the talented London-based threesome, consisting of the ever ravishing singer/bassist Shingai Shoniwa, guitarist Dan Smith and drummer Jamie Morrison, and I don't know about you but my mouth has been salivating with anticipation!  Well, it's safe to say that the wait is finally ALMOST over.  Due July 9th, the aptly titled "Winner," offers music lovers a small sampling of what's to come off of the band's upcoming third album, and boy are we in for a treat.  Two weeks ago, the band uploaded a 1:29 clip of the new single onto their SoundCloud page, so feast your ears folks...

Estonian Club Queen Kerli Releases Sexy New Single and Video

While Estonia is probably the LAST place you'd expect an international club queen to hail from, 25 year old Kerli has been paving the way for her fellow Estonians since 2008 when she released her debut single, "Walking On Air," followed by her debut album, Love Is Dead.  Of course, until fairly recently, Americans have been a bit slow to catch on when it comes to hot dance club tunes from Europe so Kerli didn't really ARRIVE here on the club scene until 2010 when the insanely infectious dance smash "Army Of Love" hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Club chart. Nearly two years later, Kerli is ready to take back the crown, releasing a new dance-tinged futuristic club jam called "Zero Gravity," which is available to download now on iTunes (HERE).

"Zero Gravity" offers fans a first glimpse of what's to come from her long awaited sophomore album, due out later this year on Island Records.  While the song is certainly catchy, I'm a bit disappointed how dangerously David Guetta the production sounds.  It's a bit cookie cutter if you ask me.  What I liked about Kerli's earlier music is the trippy, almost otherworldly nature it has.  This sounds a bit too generic for my liking, but perhaps it will grow on me.  According to the PR, the timing of the single's release is perfect.
"The release of “Zero Gravity” coincides with the 2012 Winter Music Conference in Miami Beach, March 16-25th, which is highlighted by the 27th annual IDMAs (International Dance Music Awards). Kerli will be on hand for a number of IDMA events and promotions, culminating with her red carpet appearance on the day of the awards – Thursday, March 22nd – where she is also expected to present an IDMA."

Hot Video Alert: Kerli - Army Of Love

Estonian pop princess Kerli is BACK with a new single called "Army Of Love" and it's quite lovely. Produced by Free School, the single is being offered as a FREE DOWNLOAD (HERE) so go ahead and grab it when you get a chance. Kerli is currently at work on her sophomore album, the follow up to her 2008 disc Love Is Dead released via Island Records. Love Is Dead went #1 in her native Estonia and managed to peak at #126 on the Billboard 200. We heard from Kerli more recently in March of this year when she released "Tea Party" as a single, off the Almost Alice soundtrack. "Tea Party" was a trippy fun pop number that featured remixes by Jason Nevins and Chew Fu and if "Army Of Love" is any indication, Kerli's follow up album is going to be just as good.

Kerli recently unveiled the music video for "Army Of Love," which you can take a look at below. The video features Kerli dressed up as some kind of a mystical fairy princess, rounding up her army of moon children soldiers. White hair, a flowy white top, tight white pants and some big ass white platforms = FABULOSITY. Kind of drag queen esque but in a good way of course. Leading her soldiers like some kind of a sexed up Pied Piper, Kerli takes them into a forest, where there's an Adam Lambert like rave going on. The video is one big visual stimulant complete with bright lights, fabulous costumes, a glittery swing and YES...Kerli riding on a Unicorn. AMAZING.Check it out below. More to come from Kerli in 2011! Can't wait.
