Hot Remix Alert: Steamweaver Takes On Ricki-Lee

My man Steamweaver is back with some new remixes. This time Steamweaver has gone and done a "big room" remix for Aussie pop star Ricki-Lee's new single, "Hear No, See No, Speak No." I've been loving Ricki-Lee's material for a while - especially "Can't Touch It/U Wanna Little Of This." What a hot song! Well...the former Australian Idol contestant is back in 2010 with a new album (her third). She released the album's first single, "Don't Miss You" back in July 2009 where it went on to peak at #4 on the Australian charts. Statistically speaking, "Don't Miss You" was Ricki-Lee's lowest charting single, which explains the major lapse between singles. "Hear No, See No, Speak No," the as yet unreleased album's second single was released down under November 20th.

Hot Remixes: Steamweaver Remixes the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and more!

Ever since Steamweaver contacted me last summer about his remixes of Beyonce's "Sweet Dreams," and "Right Here" by Carmen Reece he's been busy mixing up todays hottest hits readying them for the dancefloor. Rihanna - Russian Roulette

"I loved the song from the moment I heard it, and wanted to do something very dancey and anthemic, while keeping the dark and emotional mood from the original. The tempo was tough (around 80BPM), so I decided to go 133BPM - not too slow for the vocals, neither too fast for the genre. Anyway, I had fun with this one, especially with the vocal manipulation (check the full mix!)"

Carmen Reece - Right Here - Steamweaver Remixes

I was thrilled when Steamweaver sent me his latest batch of remixes for the Carmen Reece club-stunner, "Right Here." I loved his remixes of Beyoncé's "Sweet Dreams," so of course I was game to hear whatever he was working on next.

Up until now, I hadn't really heard of Carmen Reece. I saw a couple of tracks appear on dance music compilations and on iTunes (including a nice mix from Dave Audé) but I never stopped to listen. I'm glad that I did because this girl has a great voice! Steamweaver's mixes definitely do this song justice. Thanks to these mixes, I'm now a Carmen Reece fan.

Beyoncé - Sweet Dreams - Steamweaver Remixes

And just yesterday I was talking about how I DON'T post music for download on my blog. Well times...they are a changin'!

I was pleasantly surprised to get an email today from Steamweaver, a New York-based remixer/producer (?), who wanted some feedback on his remixes for Beyoncé's "Sweet Dreams," the video for which recently premiered online. From her recent album, I Am...Sasha Fierce, "Sweet Dreams" is just the latest of a string of singles from this album remixed for the clubs.

I got to say that these mixes are pretty hot. I'm not the BIGGEST Beyoncé fan in the world but I think she's uber-talented and I always love how she sounds remixed for the dancefloor. The sound quality of these mixes is EXCELLENT and the production is quite nice as well. I don't know much about Steamweaver, but I want to hear more!
